Salk Institute hit with discrimination lawsuit by third female scientist

This is really quite disappointing. The Salk Institute has produced some truly groundbreaking research over the years, but by overlooking female scientists who knows how much progress has been missed. I wish science as a field was better than this, but we've still got a long way to go.

It's true that as a field science is not where it should be but the problem is recognised. Slowly women scientists are pushing at that ceiling and stepping out into the light.

It's far slower than it should be, but we're getting better, little by little. There are still far too few women who take it up as a career though.

It's better than it was, but girls still don't feel like they're encouraged to go into STEM subjects. Doesn't help that the U.S. public education system is a god-awful mess.
