Salutations
It seems I'm the latest addition to the ever-growing collection of new arrivals to this fine institution. There seems to be quite an influx of people lately, judging by the state of the journals, which leads to an interesting question. Namely, why now? Obviously with the school term there is a certain amount of sense to relocating now as opposed to some other point during the semester, but not all the introductions have come from students. It certainly bears further investigation, given the potential impact on resource and space allocation. Does anybody have any other hypotheses?
That is to say, hi, I'm Hank. I'll be staying here for a time while I'm studying and I look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome to the mansion. My name is Amara Aquilla.
What are you studying?

It's nice to meet you.
Molecular Genetics, and I'm considering a double major in another subject but I can't seem to narrow it down.

Hopefully at some point we will meet in person. Will you be joining us in the Generation X team while you are here?
That sounds interesting! I am hoping to learn more about genetics, we learned the rudiments at my previous school. What other subjects are you considering?
no subject
I'm considering a language, or maybe literature, psychology... anything in the humanities, really. Something like political science would probably be most sensible, thought.

Something very different to what you are already studying? I have a personal preference towards classics.

I'd just like to ensure I pursue a breadth of study as well as a depth within my degree. The classics are are good suggestion; they'll certainly cover the essentials and give a good base to any further study.

There does seem to be a lot of you recently. You won't be alone in learning faces
I'm Logan. Don't worry. This place always has the room to fit more.

It's a large building, but it's certainly not infinite.

I don't think you have to worry about resource or space allocation in the foreseeable future, we still only the rooms we need to, the Mansion has plenty of space still available for new people to move into. Resource wise, you'll be o unless something good was cooked for dinner, then I wouldn't recommend dawdling too long.

...but I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job. I'm sure you're very good at it.
Thank you for your welcome, Mr Summers.

Welcome to the Mansion Mr McCoy, I can tell you're gonna be an interesting addition to our little community.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

No problem :) I'm the resident art person, and sometimes therapist. I'm happy to lend an ear if you ever need it.

And I think there is one major reason for the large influx, namely that the outer world is getting unkinder and unkinder in how they deal with our... 'uniqueness'.

Mostly I study at the highschool near here and try to figure out what the hell my mutation is here.

I'm Clint, by the way. Nice to meet you.

But yeah, I think that's a lot of it. The world's not as safe as it used to be, and it wasn't great even then. Places that train mutants and stop you from being lynched tend to be a priority.
I'm Nica, Hank. Another new-ish arrival. You aren't one of those genius people, are you? The one's who graduate high school at ten and then college before they can drive?

What kind of further research are you thinking?

Apologies for that. I enjoy the chance to stretch my polyglotism whenever I can. It's easier in text; I'm sure my accent is atrocious.
